I live in a tropical climate which means that I wear full-on fall attire might be an issue. But these 2020 fall fashion trends I’m currently coveting, and can definitely pull off. Even in the tropics.
I have no idea when I will be traveling to a seasonal climate after this year’s epic fail, but looking at 2022. And today, I’ve picked my top 4 looks & trending pieces I would snag. If you would love to recreate these, I’ve added some shop links below for exploring.

Trend 1 – Doll Dresses
Looks like a shift dress but with an added flare. These dresses I would absolutely love as I am a shift dress type of girl. I love how these have an illusion of being layered, and paired with high knee boots, perfect look.
I’ve also seen these styled over pants, so cute, and I think that Monroe Steele shows a perfect example of this in the image below.

And two of my fav trends “read on” + the doll dress by Rose of DadouChic.

Trend 2 – Plaid Oversized Blazer Coats/Jackets.
These have been EVERYWHERE. Long, short, black, colored, textured, smooth. I love this look. As a jacket, I can actually pull this off in my semi fall office climate here in the tropics, as it’s a regular wardrobe staple. But oversized, maybe in a lighter material.
Trend 3 – The Color Rust
I have a yellow warm undertone skin wise and one my ideal color choices is rust. And what says FALL better than the color rust or it’s near family. However, I’ve been creating an entire Pinterest wardrobe mood board for the last 6 months of styles and pieces to snag when the time comes, but for now, I love these looks.

Trend 4 – Knitted Vests
Charlotte Rose shared a perfect example of this in her fall trend video on her Youtube channel, and in her Instagram feed lately. The color combination of both rich neutrals and light neutrals can add versatility to any wardrobe especially if you’re a warm-toned skin. In a sleeveless, you can definitely pull this off on a cooler evening, even in the tropics.
